Sweet Lauren Cakes and Wedding Paper Divas Team Up!

Well it’s no surprise that we love all things wedding at Sweet Lauren Cakes! So when Wedding Paper Divas contacted us for a collaboration, we squealed and jumped up and down and then said yes right away!

Many times, we have brides come to us unsure of how they’d like the cake pops to look for their wedding. While we’re happy to show them images from all of our past weddings and make suggestions, our favorite is when we get to completely customize them for that particular couple’s special day! One of the best ways to do this is by taking the invitation suite or colors and drawing inspiration from those designs. Since the invitation or save the date will be your guests’ first look into your special day, it’s a great way to set the tone. Reminding your guests of that initial impression with cake pops echoing the same designs at your reception, are a fabulous and yummy way to pull it all together!

The same could go for any event, birthday parties, baby showers, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, etc. We can match any custom invite!

Cake Pop Events This Weekend!

Hi Cake Pop Friends!

We’ve got a very busy weekend ahead with Bridal Shows on both Saturday and Sunday. We’d love to visit with you at one or both and share wedding ideas and such. We’ll have many yummy cake pop flavors to try too so come hungry!

A Foreign Cinema Wedding with Sparkly Cake Pops!

Foreign Cinema in San Francisco’s edgy Mission neighborhood is definitely one of our favorite spots in the city. This past fall, we had the opportunity to work with a lovely couple who chose to host their reception there.

The Romantic Foreign Cinema Courtyard

During our initial tasting, Lauren explained that their interests included writing, biology, Shakespeare and of course cake pops! She wanted these elements, along with her rich fall colors to really come through on her dessert table. So we got to work! Exploring thrift shops for old books, test tubes, etc. we found our props for the dessert display that would come to be one of our favorites of 2012.

We contacted Foreign Cinema’s favorite florist Natalie Bowen to create a few bundles of flowers to decorate our three tiered natural wood cake pop stand. We loved how the rich orange flowers brought out the burnt orange sparkle on our pops! She was even able to match the bridesmaid’s bouquet and dress.

Hi cake pop fans! We’re so thrilled to share with you that 2012 was our biggest year yet! We were honored to work on over 50 weddings for our special brides and grooms. Gluten-Free Cake Pops Now Available!

While we’ve not been writing blog posts (oops!), we’ve been super duper busy creating new gluten-free recipes for all of our flavors! (Red Velvet, Cinnamon Chocolate, Vanilla Bean, Lemon, Coconut, Caramel, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Hazelnut, Chocolate Mint, Gingerbread, and Brown Butter Pumpkin)

Having a sister with a gluten allergy, our owner, Lauren knows how hard it is to find yummy treats that are safe to eat. And we don’t want anyone to have to go without eating a cake pop! So she sought out to make the most delicious gluten-free cake pops around. We hope you’ll enjoy this new addition to our menu!

Cake Pops at Carneros Inn, Napa

Mei and Stephen came to us back in November to start the process of ordering a cake pop display in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. They were a lovely couple to work with and their wedding this July in Napa showcased what a truly special couple they are. Kate Byars Photography did a gorgeous job of capturing the joyful mood of the day. And our cake pops were displayed on our custom white stand in a blue ombre design reminiscent of the bridesmaids dresses. We used flowers from Maki at Viola Flowers to decorate the corners and we love how it all came together!
