Back in March we created a shiny, glamorous, yet industrial and funky display for an “Industrial Glam” themed party to celebrate the newest issue of Today’s Bride. Flawlessly coordinated by MB Wedding Designs and Events, the event was over on Treasure Island at the Winery SF and our whole team (all four of us!), got all dressed up and trekked over for a night of drinks and cuisine by Thomas John Events, dancing, even a photobooth!
We had so much fun planning and building this display that we’ve now officially added dessert displays to our repertoire! We’ve created quite a few over the past couple of years and have a blast doing them! I’ll be sharing some of those with you soon too. See below for some images from the event captured by our friend and phenomenal photographer Michele Beckwith.
And finally, a special treat from the night! A video from the photobooth! Check out your favorite cake pop girls at the 10 second mark
For the past few months we’ve been testing recipes, shapes, and flavors for our newest product, pie pops! It has been so hard to keep it a secret from you, especially when very talented photographer Michele Beckwith came over for a photoshoot. As you’ll see, the shots she took are just gorgeous and we can’t wait to start accepting orders for these tasty little bites of pie! Flavors include decadent Chocolate, classic Apple Cinnamon, Strawberry Rhubarb, Blueberry-Blackberry, Cherry, Peach, and even Pecan (fruit pies subject to seasonal availability.) Our owner, Lauren, even used her grandmother’s classic pie crust recipe! Ingredients are all natural and we’ve also tried to use organic and local ingredients where we’re able. Orders can be placed through our inquiry form on the website. Available for pick up or deliveries within the Bay Area.
Last night we joined a gorgeous group of wedding professionals and Bay Area lovelies at Blu Bungalow to fete our friend Jacin, owner of Lovely Little Details on the launch of her new website design and branding. Everything looked fabulous from the Oh Happy Day inspired crepe paper garland to the Bellini bar to Jacin’s own color coordinated frock! We provided glittery cake pops and even worked in a little of Jacin’s branding by writing “Lovely” on some.
As mentioned on our Twitter feed and Facebook page, we launched our own lovely little item last night at the party, Pie Pops! That’s right, in addition to the delicious and fun cake pops, we’re now baking yummy pie pops!!! Stay tuned for more details and a fabulous photo shoot by Michele Beckwith in Monday’s blog post.

Last Thursday evening we were asked to contribute cake pops to the launch of the new Alice + Olivia store on Fillmore Street here in San Francisco. We had such a blast coming up with designs inspired by their gorgeous look book. Check out a few party photos below from Getty Images. As you can see, cake pops are the fashionista’s ultimate accessory!
And some of our own snaps from the party!
Often we’re given inspiration images to work from and we love the challenge! Below are a few images of recent cake pops we’ve created using these fabric inspired prints from Kelly Lyden, The Well-Heeled Hostess as a reference.
And of course, everyone’s current favorite pattern and color combo, Gray and White Chevron!
Additionally, we thought these fabric inspired cake pops would be a great segway to announce our recent collaboration with Alice + Olivia on the launch of their new store in San Francisco! We took inspiration from their Spring 2012 look book to create a display for the launch party this coming Thursday, March 22nd and we can’t wait to show you! Please see the invite below for more details or check out this cool write up on Refinery 29. Hope to see you there!
Planning a pirate party for your kiddies? Or planning a pirate themed party for your corporate event? Or just want to celebrate “Talk-like-a-Pirate-Day” a bit early?
We created a few custom designs based on an invitation and party details a client provided. The party was for her daughter’s 3rd birthday and featured hot pink, black, and white colors in the design. We set up the cake pops on a dessert table that was decked out to look like a pirate ship-we love the attention to detail !
Check out some glamour shots of the various designs we came up with including a pirate ship, a treasure map, skull and crossbones. We also included an image of some pirate cake pops from another occasion.
Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggghhhh!!!!
Seriously, when is it “Talk like a Pirate day”?? I feel like pulling out an eye patch right now….
Ahoy, Matey! A couple of “3″s and “G”s to get the party started.
So, where’s that treasure, again?
Ahhhh, palm trees on the way to treasure…
X Marks the spot
And of course, some simple pirate cake pops (inspired by designs on the internet – per client request).
Now, off to find me treasure!! ARRRGGGHHHH
Princess Crown Cake Pops!
Planning a Royal bridal shower or baby shower or any other royally themed party? We love how these custom royal crowns turned out! They were the perfect treat for the birthday girls at this Princess party for a pair of twins. Excuse of our photography~ some of these pictures were taken during set-up and sadly we didn’t get a final shot and all photos were taken via iphone.
These Royal Crown Cake Pops are the perfect treat for all Royalty: Queens, Princesses, Duchesses, Birthday Girls, and the Bride-to-Be!
