Cake Pops at the Artisan Market at Williams Sonoma – This Weekend!
This Saturday, we have been invited back (for our third time!) to the Williams Sonoma Artisan Market at their SF Union Square location. It’s been so fun attending in both March and April, rubbing elbows with some of the Bay Area’s yummiest local vendors and chatting with Williams Sonoma customers about our cake pops. We will of course have samples to taste and individual boxes as well as assorted sampler sets of six for purchase. Here is the lineup from Williams Sonoma. If you find yourself in the area, please come see us and try a cake pop! (or three!)
Cake Pops Featured on Style Me Pretty
Isn’t Style Me Pretty just a total swoon-fest??? We could get sucked into looking at gorgeous weddings for hours on their site. We’ve been so excited to have our cake pops be featured there a few times now and are anxiously checking daily to see if another one of our sweet brides’ special day has made the coveted pages of SMP. In March, we were giddy because we were featured once again with the following surprise wedding!
Back in December we were contacted by Jacin of Lovely Little Details for an order of cake pops for a surprise New Years Eve wedding. We loved the idea of surprising all of your family and friends that instead of attending your engagement party, they’d be witness to your very special nuptials that day. Peach, mint and gold glitter were the colors of the day. And with all of that shiny gold, the photos from the happy bride and groom’s day taken by Flory Photo came out with such a warm lovely glow, enjoy!
DIY Cake Pop Favor Ideas
Cocodot, an online retailer specializing in all things events, has come up with some clever ways to use our cake pops as favors for parties and weddings. Check them out! You can now even purchase gift sets of our cake pops on their site!
Cake Pop display for launch of Today’s Bride newest issue!
Back in March we created a shiny, glamorous, yet industrial and funky display for an “Industrial Glam” themed party to celebrate the newest issue of Today’s Bride. Flawlessly coordinated by MB Wedding Designs and Events, the event was over on Treasure Island at the Winery SF and our whole team (all four of us!), got all dressed up and trekked over for a night of drinks and cuisine by Thomas John Events, dancing, even a photobooth!
We had so much fun planning and building this display that we’ve now officially added dessert displays to our repertoire! We’ve created quite a few over the past couple of years and have a blast doing them! I’ll be sharing some of those with you soon too. See below for some images from the event captured by our friend and phenomenal photographer Michele Beckwith.
And finally, a special treat from the night! A video from the photobooth! Check out your favorite cake pop girls at the 10 second mark
Featured! Cake Pops in Gourmet Business Magazine
We were so excited to hear from Gourmet Business magazine that they wanted to feature our lovely cake pops on the front cover of the March edition of their magazine! And then additionally on page 27, we were pleased to find a write up about our cake pops from the Winter Fancy Food Show. Woot!
Check out the magazine HERE. HUGE “Thank you!” to Michelle Walker of Michelle Walker Photography for providing the gorgeous photo for the cover. Yay!
Fabric Inspired Cake Pops
Often we’re given inspiration images to work from and we love the challenge! Below are a few images of recent cake pops we’ve created using these fabric inspired prints from Kelly Lyden, The Well-Heeled Hostess as a reference.
And of course, everyone’s current favorite pattern and color combo, Gray and White Chevron!
Additionally, we thought these fabric inspired cake pops would be a great segway to announce our recent collaboration with Alice + Olivia on the launch of their new store in San Francisco! We took inspiration from their Spring 2012 look book to create a display for the launch party this coming Thursday, March 22nd and we can’t wait to show you! Please see the invite below for more details or check out this cool write up on Refinery 29. Hope to see you there!

Cakepops Featured in a Halloween Inspired Wedding Shoot!
Halloween is one of our favorite holidays over at Sweet Lauren Cakes! This year we had so much fun creating ghosts, mummies, bats, black cats, spider web designs, and even witches hats! Our designs were part of a recent photo shoot designed by Kimberly of LVL Weddings & Events and photographed by Jennifer over at A Girl and a Camera Photography. Style Unveiled featured the spooky wedding inspiration shoot on their blog and we think our apples and pumpkins would make a great addition to Thanksgiving tables as well!
